Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required
Experience and certification requirements:
***Have the Trade Certification or be eligible to obtain the Trade Certification. Completion of a three- to a five-year apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college, or industry courses in heavy equipment repair is required to be eligible for trade certification.
****Knowledge of troubleshooting/repairing CAT equipment is required
***Knowledge of troubleshooting/repairing John Deere and Hitachi is an asset
***Experience in Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction and/or Infrastructure is required
***Valid Class 3 operators license with air brakes - Assets
***Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
***Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
Job Description:
-Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
-Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
-Service attachments and working tools
-Verify and repair emission control systems
-Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
-Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
-Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
-Keep maintenance reports and documentation
-Instruct apprentices
-Perform repair work on heavy trucks
-Communicate with site management to coordinate maintenance priorities
-Promote safety awareness by ensuring compliance with corporate health and safety policies and procedures
-Operate/drive heavy equipment safely at the work site

Other information:
Salary: $50 per hour. 70-84 hours per week.
Our workforce works 10-12 hours daily, 14 days on, and 7 days off with day and night shifts required. Working a rotational schedule is required. Willingness to work in the Ft McMurray area and live in remote camps is required.
Tools will be provided by the employer
