Position: Full-time Construction Labourers

Type of contract: Year-round
Salary: $20 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Construct molds for use in casting concrete products
-Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size, and type of goods produced
-Set up, adjust, and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications
-Build and repair wooden frames used to mold concrete products
-Check products for quality control
-Move products using a forklift or crane
-Perform ongoing machine adjustments
-Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds
-Fill molds with concrete
-Read blueprint, schemas, and drawings
-Operate vibrating tables to settle the concrete
-Tamp concrete using an electric vibrator
-Remove castings from molds
-Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel
-Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Not required.

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided—experience in construction in concrete.

Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, and Overtime may be required.

Weight Handling: up to 23 kg (50lbs)

Important Information: The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Including a 30-minute paid lunch). However, flexibility on schedule is required. Work on weekends or evenings may be needed depending on the project's requirements. Overtime may be required. Shifts may vary depending on weather conditions. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week during winter.
