Job Description

As a Pet Groomer, your responsibilities will include:

-Bathing/Shampooing
-Pet clipping and styling (full coat styling, including clipping, hand-scissoring, hand-stripping, etc.)
-Ear cleaning
-Nail clipping
-Teeth cleaning
-Cleaning and disinfecting cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures (including work area and tools)
-Keeping records of animals treated
-Lifting/carrying dogs into bathing tubs and onto grooming tables
-Providing excellent customer service

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of High School is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in pet grooming is required.
Certification: Valid Grooming certification is a strong asset.
Knowledge: Familiarity with breed standards cuts is an asset.

Work Site Environment: Pet grooming shop, Pet shop
Types of Pets Groomed: All breeds of dogs and cats
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Important Information

-The candidate will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
-Weekday shifts may be exchanged for Saturday shifts on the same schedule.
